Property Tax
The property tax due is recorded at the Land Registry office on the Tapu (title deed) of the said property. In almost all cases the declared value is stated on that document and it is very rare that the true value is shown.

Insurance
Building and contents insurance is widely available and generally covers risk from earthquakes. Premiums depend on size of property and the value of the contents e.g. it will cost more if you have works of art as part of your lifestyle! However expect to pay around £700 GBP (1000 Euro) per year for a villa and less for an apartment.

Management Fees:
These are the fees paid to the management company if you buy a property within a complex. These fees cover pool/garden maintenance, security and any other shared facility that is available. Typically for an apartment you would expect to pay around £450 GBP (650 Euro) per year and for a villa around £700 GBP (1000 Euro) per year.

Gas
Normally used for cooking and water heating. Cylinder refills cost around £9.30 GBP (14.00 Euro) and last approximately one month for water heating and two months for cooking.

Electricity
